For the twenty-ninth book in this challenge, I read <a href=”http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12868761-let-s-pretend-this-never-happened” target=”new”>Let’s Pretend This Never Happened</a>, by Jenny Lawson, or The Bloggess. This baby garnered five stars.
It is amazeballs. Mostly I’m amazed that Lawson or her sister survived childhood, and that she continues to survive as an adult. If half the stuff that happened to her in this book alone happened to me, I would be a quivering pile of feels under the bed. The scorpions alone…but of course, that’s Texas, and there’s a reason I don’t live anywhere near Texas.
I read at least half of this book aloud to my husband, because I just had to share the wtf-ery with someone else. It’s more fun that way, trust me. I even went and got my book signed, because she was doing a signing in Dayton and why not? And then I gave her a felted little chibi Cthulhu and…yeah, I think I’ve mentioned this before.
Seriously, just…just get the book. It’s hilarious. It’s weird. It’s full of so much wrong.
