Day 16 – 30 Days of Knitting

Have you ever had a knitting related injury?

Nothing more significant than a blister. I’ve read the blog posts. I’m careful. (Watch. Next week a double-pointed needle will go straight through my thigh.)

About crankyfacedknitter

We are a motley collection of cats, cranks, nerds, geeks, hobbyists, humorists, writers, caffeine addicts and one knitter. We have many offspring, but admittedly, most of them are imaginary.

  1. That exact thing happened to me when I was a child ! I was at my Granny’s and had been knitting, I stood up from the sofa with my knitting in my hand and caught my thigh with the needle. It made an inch long gash in it, which still bears the scar today… over 40 years later!

    • I have heard about such things, and every time my kid runs near and flops on the couch while I’m knitting (which happens a lot), I tense up and jerk my needles away, JUST IN CASE. Not that any of us tend to be accident prone, but how awful would that be to accidentally impale your kid somehow? There would be blood all over the knitting.
