Day 2: 30 Days of Knitting

What is currently on your needles?

It never, ever ends

Still very much in progress.

At the moment, yet another Moderne Log Cabin blanket for some friends who got married back in May. This is the third of four I intend to finish this year, and…the strain is clearly showing. There have been an astounding number of major life-events in my family and friend groups lately. Four weddings, two babies, and possibly a third baby before the end of the year. The first blanket I made this year was closer to baby-sized, but not really. The second was intended for a couple, and covered my king-sized bed admirably. The third is…halfway done? Maybe? If I’m feeling generous? Oof.

They have all been made of Caron Simply Soft, which I favor for its sheen, its silkiness, and its washability (none of the recipients will be hand-washing anything). Pattern is from the brilliant, understated minds of the ladies at Mason-Dixon Knitting.

Naturally, this is the primary endeavor. I have several others working that we’ll discuss tomorrow.

About crankyfacedknitter

We are a motley collection of cats, cranks, nerds, geeks, hobbyists, humorists, writers, caffeine addicts and one knitter. We have many offspring, but admittedly, most of them are imaginary.
