I’ve been thinking about posting for a couple of months now. Almost as long as it has been since I’ve actually hit the “post” button, actually. I haven’t actually done it, however, and there are a lot of excuses for why I’ve managed to avoid the site altogether. I was tired, I was overwhelmed, I was depressed (I was; did you know there is such a thing as ante-natal depression? I didn’t.), I was busy, I was trying to do NaNoWriMo (didn’t make it, by the way – but I do have 30,000 words that I didn’t have before), I had too much to say and too little time… All great excuses. All very convenient crutches to keep myself from doing what it is I mean to do.
What do I mean to do, you might be asking? I mean to
misbehave write. Maybe not necessarily as a professional blogger, since my ability to take pictures and slap them here on the website are pretty miserable, but that’s something I’d like to change too.
The point of this post, my first post of 2011, is that I’m signing up to post every day. I’m just going to do it for a month and see how I go. If it does what I hope, which has to do with mindfulness and awareness and all that jazz, then I’ll do it for another month, and so on. So here goes.
Hello, Year Of Doing.
